IRELAND/GUERNSEY
Orders are dispatched with Royal Mail/DHL (£12) Please allow 3-5 days.
Customs, duties and local taxes are due on all orders to Ireland. These duties are set by your local government, not by Arabella London. Rates vary according to the country, but they are often 1/3rd value of your order. The customer is required to pay these charges on delivery. If you decline the parcel / do not clear these delivery costs, the parcel will be returned to us in the UK and all shipping, handling and DHL costs will be non-refundable.
European orders are dispatched with DHL (£30) please allow 3-5 business days. Customs, duties and local taxes are due on all EU orders. USA orders are sent with DHL (£30) please allow 2-4 for New York and 5-7 business days for all other locations.
All Arabella London pieces are manufactured in Morocco. Moroccan-made goods benefit from a preferential 10% duty rate under the Morocco-US trade treaty. We provide all this information clearly on the commercial invoice that accompanies the shipment.
US customs are repeatedly incorrectly declaring the goods as UK origin (where they are dispatched from) rather than of Moroccan origin, as stated on the commercial invoice - leading to duties being incorrectly calculated at a significantly higher rate than they should be.
What to expect:
- DHL will issue you with an invoice when your parcel arrives.
- This must be paid to receive your parcel.
If duties appear higher than expected, you can either:
- Dispute the charges while the parcel is in customs to have the correct invoice issued.
- Pay the invoice to release the parcel quickly (for example, if you need the items urgently for a holiday or special occasion) and then submit a reclaim retrospectively for any overcharges.
If you decline the parcel / do not clear the delivery costs, the parcel will be returned to us in the UK and all shipping, handling and DHL costs will be non-refundable.
